February 25 is a Philippine Special Holiday!  

Good News to all Students!

Malacanangdeclared February 25 as Special Holiday for all schools whether public and private. This in celebration of the 26^th Anniversary of the “EDSA People Power Revolution”, themed as “EDSA 26: ANONG TAYA MO PARA SA PILIPINAS NATIN”.

February 25 used to be a NO-WORK day for all Filipinos yet this year; it will be a regular working day for all employees since it is NOT a special working holiday. Too bad! L

The announcement was made late last year, November 2011, thru President Benigno Aquino Proclamation No. 295 declaring all Philippine Holidays for year 2012 (Inclusive of Regular, Special Non-Working Days and Special Holidays (for all schools).

The 1986 Edsa revolution paved way for the Mother of Noynoy, President Cory Aquino, to be placed as the 11^th Chief Executive of the Republic of the Philippines. This also marked the end of the dictatorship of the Marcoses and the return of a true democracy.
