This was the article I made as requested by my General Manager which was published in GPCCI Newsletter.

…Meet the New General Manager of GlobalBridge Resources Corporation…           

This was the first initiative of Frederick “Ricky” Gumaru, the new General Manager of GlobalBridge Resources Corporation (GBR), when tasked to strategically lead GBR in meeting its operational and financial target for 2010.

Coming from his 15 years of vast experiences in the operational and human resources management arena, he believes that making people feel great about doing business with you, gives you the definite advantage. “The business atmosphere keeps on changing and most of the time, service providers offer the very same thing which means the basics are the same as any business; value proposition, cost-effective solution, originality, and approach. But, building relationship by creating an invincible bond with your clients, partners and people brings added value to every thing you do.”

Ricky spent his years of expertise holding senior executive positions across industries; human resources (IT recruitment), IT (application development/software package), and real estate. He was exposed to other industries through his five-year work in a development management consultancy. 

Aside from this, he is also well known in the Human Resources Practice as he heads “HR Philippines” - the biggest online portal for all HR Practitioners in the Philippines.

Some of Ricky’s strengths are in Strategic Planning and in General Management. He also handled both Sales and Marketing functions. He has extensive experience in start-up activities from: conceptualization, market research, business plan formulation, licenses and permits acquisition, incorporation, organizing, staffing, etc. 

Ricky earned his MBA, major in Business Administration at University of the Philippines. He is a graduate of Ateneo de Manila with a BA degree, Major in Business Management.

With his strong HR competencies in the BPO/IT space, Ricky is confident that he will be able to skillfully manage the GBR Team in building strong and formidable human resources amidst turbulent times and challenges in the years to come.
